NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PURSUANT TO 35 ILCS 200/10-110 THRU 10-130 OF THE PROPERTY TAX CODE:

The Iroquois County Farmland Assessment Review Committee will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Board Room at the Clifford Bury Administrative Center, 1001 E. Grant Street, Watseka, IL.

The subject of this meeting will be:

CERTIFICATION OF ADJUSTED 2023 FARMLAND VALUES

  1. The 2023 Equalized Assessed Value (EAV) per acre of cropland for each productivity index (PI),
  2. The 2023 proposed county average EAV per acre of cropland, and
  3. The 2023 proposed county average EAV per acre for all farmland.

The proposed 2023 average equalized assessed value per acre of cropland is $448.  The proposed equalized assessed value per acre of all farmland is $252.

Whatever action is taken by the Farmland Assessment Review Committee after public input may affect the 2023 farmland assessment for taxes payable in 2024.
