Employment Opportunity - Animal Control Officer (part-time)

Iroquois County is looking for an Animal Control Officer to fill our part-time position. Duties include capture and impounding of unlicensed and/or uncontrolled dogs, enforcing regulations concerning treatment of domestic dogs, maintaining files and records regarding dogs impounded. Competitive pay includes $55 per investigation and $85 per transportation plus mileage reimbursement for each call response. Requires thorough knowledge of animal behavior and skill in handling dogs, computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
