Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day

Job Duties: You will provide administrative/clerical duties in support of the Zoning Office to include but not limited to phone duties, filing, copying, mailings, memos, letters, assisting residents, contractors etc., regarding permitting and/or inspections.



Desired Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, basic PC skills with experience using Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with frequent customer contact as you will be providing excelling customer service to the residents of Iroquois County. You will need to possess effective verbal and written communication skills to work with all internal and external contacts. If you possess these characteristics and can demonstrate the ability to be a successful team member, then we would like to speak to you. Although not required, you will be ahead of the learning curve if you have any experience with GIS, Eagleview or National Flood System.

Salary: $48,000 - $56,000 annually



General Purpose of the Position: The Health Educator is tasked with facilitating and executing public health education programs, public relations, and community partner relations for the Iroquois County Public Health Department (ICPHD).



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



<ol style="list-style-type:1">
<li>Coordinates public health educational programs.</li>



<li>Conducts outreach to target populations and community partners.</li>



<li>Assists with management of the ICPHD website and social media accounts.</li>



<li>Participates in the preparation and dissemination of health education materials.</li>



<li>Conducts surveys and studies to evaluate and develop public health initiatives.</li>



<li>Provide public presentations promoting public health.</li>



<li>Demonstrates understanding of the organization's mission and values through behaviors which supports this.</li>



<li>Appropriately represents ICPHD and Iroquois County to other groups, organizations and the general public by demonstrating a positive attitude, progressive actions, professionalism, courtesy, discretion, and tact.</li>



<li>Ensures the accuracy of public information materials as appropriate.</li>

Education and Experience Required:
