Overview

The Iroquois County Board of Review is responsible for ensuring fair and equitable property tax assessments throughout the county. The board of review shall determine the assessed value of any parcel of real property, which is the subject of an appeal. Their decision will be based on the evidence presented at a public hearing.

The duties of the Board of Review include, but are not limited to:

  • Hearing and adjudicating property tax assessment appeals
  • Review of non-homestead exemption applications
  • Preparation of non-homestead application recommendations to IDOR 
  • Assess omitted property
  • Act as an equalizing authority
